SpliceCon 2021: A Steenbock SymposiumApril 22-23, 2021 | On-line at Gather.Town
We are pleased to present "SpliceCon 2021: A Steenbock Symposium". This virtual meeting will cover a multitude of topics related to the spliceosome and splicing and take place April 22-23, 2021. This meeting will occur live and be interactive thanks to the gather.town platform. Topics include Spliceosome Structure, Splicing Mechanism, Alternative Splicing, Splicing Therapies, Splicing in Disease, Spliceosome Evolution, and a panel discussion on challenges for the field. A keynote lecture will be given by Holger Stark. Other confirmed speakers and panelists include Olga Anczukow-Camarda, Manny Ares, Sebastian Fica, Florian Heyd, Tracy Johnson, Melissa Jurica, Clara Kielkopf, Kristen Lynch, Karla Neugebauer, Esther Obeng, Vlad Pena, Jeff Pleiss, Scott Roy, Jon Staley, Nav Toor, and Al Zahler. The meeting will also include poster sessions and promoted talks from submitted abstracts. Importantly, thanks to support from the UW-Madison Department of Biochemistry and The RNA Society, the meeting will be FREE to attend! However, we are limiting attendance and no more than 4 participants from a single research laboratory (including the PI). We have also set up a wait-list for the meeting and meeting attendance will be increased based on this list as funds allow.
