Salons

The RNA SOCIETY is excited to once again invite applications for RNA Salons in the academic year 2020/2021!

Launched in 2016, the RNA Salon program provides financial support for recurring local/regional RNA science-based activities held at academic institutions throughout the world. With the aim of promoting engagement and interaction among RNA scientists, the RNA SOCIETY hopes to advance the training and professional development of RNA researchers, with a particular focus on junior trainees.

To learn more about how to apply for support from the RNA SOCIETY for your RNA-related events, please see the ‘Guidelines for RNA Salon Support 2020/2021.

New this year, applications can now be submitted through an online RNA Salon application form. The application deadline is September 11th, 2020 (midnight EST).

In June 2020, a Summary of 2019/2020 RNA Salon activities was presented to the RNA SOCIETY Board of Directors highlighting the continuous growth and tremendous impact of the RNA Salon program as well as the rapid adaptation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In brief, the RNA Salon program has proven successful in fostering the engagement of our vibrant pocket communities of RNA researchers. In 2019/2020 the program enjoyed participation by an astonishing 6,300 RNA worldwide.

We hope that you all have an opportunity to attend an RNA Salon event in your area, and to connect with your colleagues and peers who are equally enthusiastic about RNA as you are!
