Postdoctoral Fellow position in the Laboratory of Niladri Sinha, University of Utah

Posted on September 2nd,

We have an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join us in exploring fundamental questions at the interface of protein synthesis and stress-responsive signaling pathways.

Please apply here: https://utah.peopleadmin.com/postings/187898

We study the multifaceted roles of ribosomes as critical sensors of cellular stress. Specifically, we aim to:

(1) elucidate how ribosomes detect and respond to ribotoxic stress, and
(2) identify and characterize ribosome-mediated quality control and signaling pathways that regulate cellular homeostasis and cell fate decisions in response to translational stress.

This is a unique opportunity to lead exciting projects and apply a multidisciplinary toolkit (biochemistry, proteomics, genetics, and structural biology) to address exciting questions in translational control.

We are committed to hands-on mentoring in research and career development. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in a Life Science discipline (e.g., Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or Cell Biology), with expertise in RNA biology. This position is suited for a recent Ph.D. graduate or an individual with 1–2 years of relevant postdoctoral experience.

If you are a motivated and curious scientist eager to drive independent projects within a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply. Please submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your interest in this position. For inquiries, please contact me at [email protected].
