The Arbibe Laboratory at Institut Necker Enfants Malades is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to investigate the role of non-canonical RNA species, including double-stranded RNAs (dsRNAs) and circular RNAs (circRNAs), in intestinal inflammation and epithelial repair in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
The project lies at the interface of RNA biology, intestinal epithelial biology and inflammation, and will combine molecular approaches with intestinal organoids, mouse models and human IBD samples.
The position is part of an ANR-funded consortium project, will start in February 2027, and is funded for 3 years.
Work Environment
Our laboratory is part of the Institut Necker Enfants Malades (INEM, Inserm U1151/CNRS UMR8253), located on the Necker-Enfants Malades hospital campus in central Paris.
INEM provides a collaborative environment bringing together fundamental and clinical research, with access to state-of-the-art core facilities in genomics, imaging, flow cytometry, animal experimentation and organoid culture.
The postdoctoral researcher will interact closely with scientists and clinicians at INEM and with the broader Paris biomedical research community, including Université Paris Cité, Institut Pasteur and Sorbonne Université.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent degree in RNA biology, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology or a related discipline.
Eligibility requirement: candidates must have defended their PhD within the last 2 years at the time of application.
Candidates should have:
- Strong molecular and cellular biology skills
- A demonstrated ability to conduct independent research
- A strong interest in RNA regulation and mechanisms of mucosal and inflammatory disease
Preferred Expertise
Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in RNA biology and RNA-based approaches, particularly:
- RIP-seq, CLIP/eCLIP-seq, or related RNA–protein/RNA interaction mapping approaches
- Epitranscriptomic approaches
- dsRNA and/or circular RNA biology
- Experience with mouse models and/or intestinal organoid culture would be an advantage
