Postdoctoral/Staff Positions Available – Wilusz Lab, Baylor College of Medicine

Posted on August 31,

Postdoctoral and staff positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Jeremy Wilusz which be moving later this year to Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, TX.  Our multi-disciplinary group aims to reveal new modes of gene regulation, especially novel mechanisms that regulate circular RNAs, RNA stability, pre-mRNA splicing, transcription, or translation. We are looking for motivated, hard-working researchers to join our team where they will be able to independently make important discoveries while working in a collaborative, dynamic environment. In addition to carrying out research, there will be ample opportunities for presenting research findings at conferences, supervising students, and career development.

Our laboratory will be supported by very generous funding from CPRIT and NIH as well as be part of the Therapeutic Innovation Center (THINC, thincbcm.org), a center of excellence at BCM that seeks to discover fundamental mechanisms of gene control, especially RNA and chromatin regulation, and to translate these discoveries into early therapeutic development.

Applicants for postdoctoral positions should have a recent Ph.D. in molecular biology or relevant field and have demonstrated research productivity through publications.

Interested applicants should apply to [email protected] by sending (i) a cover letter summarizing research interests and accomplishments, (ii) a complete CV, and (iii) contact information for three references. Start date is flexible.
