Co-mentored post-doctoral research positions are available in the laboratories of Dr. Steve Ziegler and Dr. Ram Savan. Ziegler lab is located at the Benaroya Research Institute (www.benaroyaresearch.org), and the Ram lab is in the Department of Immunology, University of Washington (https://www.immunology.washington.edu/faculty/primary-joint-faculty/ram/). Ziegler and Ram labs have active collaborations.

The post-doctoral fellow will investigate factors that control regulatory T cell development and function, especially tissue-resident Tregs. We are currently studying a novel mechanism for Treg-mediated suppression involving mRNA translational regulation of effector T cells.

We are looking for a highly motivated, collaborative, and enthusiastic individual who has a strong background in RNA biology, biochemistry, and immunology. These positions are available immediately and open until filled. Essential Qualifications: A Ph.D. in the fields of immunology or molecular biology.

The University of Washington and Virginia Mason’s Benaroya Research Institute have strong scientific interactions with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Institute for Systems Biology, Zymogenetics, Seattle Children’s Research Institute, and Brain Research Institute.
