Two Postdoctoral positions are available immediately in Fabris’ laboratory to study the structure/function relationships of RNA post-transcriptional modifications involved in the cellular response to RNA viruses and drugs of abuse.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, or related life-science disciplines, with pertinent experience demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications. Hands-on experience preferred in at least two of the following areas: virology, pharmacology, RNA biology, recombinant techniques; gene silencing; biopolymers extraction/purification. Training will be provided on all the instrumentation available in the laboratory. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone with a background in virology, pharmacology, or molecular biology to bridge into the mass spectrometry world.

Salary will be commensurate to experience; medical benefits will be provided. The appointment is for one year, renewable for successive years dependent on successful scientific progress and publications. Applicants will be encouraged to apply for federal and private agency postdoctoral fellowships.
