Postdoctoral position to study the regulation of translation at Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany)
Posted on July 10

A postdoc position is available in the Schmid lab at the Institute of Biochemistry I (Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany) to investigate alternative modes of translational regulation by RNA/protein interactions in the tumor context. We are seeking to fill the position (initially funded for 3 years) as soon as possible (all genders welcome).

In the Schmid lab, we are investigating the molecular aspects of post-transcriptional regulation in tumors and inflammation using a broad spectrum of state-of-the-art NGS-based RNomics approaches.

For the present project, we are looking for a highly motivated postdoc interested in RNA biology with a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology and ideally prior experience in NGS-based RNA-analyses. The postdoc should be enthusiastic to work in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, as the project is part of an active collaboration with the Backofen group (Bioinformatics department, University of Freiburg, Germany).

Please send your application including a motivation letter, your CV, and the names/contact information of three references to PD Dr. Tobias Schmid ([email protected]).
