Postdoctoral Position in the Laboratory of Dr. Eva Gottwein

Posted on December 15,

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Eva Gottwein at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. The Gottwein lab studies mechanisms underlying Kaposi’s Sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV)-associated cancers.

Available projects focus on the investigation of KSHV-mediated B cell and endothelial cell transformation. We will use functional genomics and biochemical approaches to understand KSHV-mediated transcriptional and epigenetic reprogramming, including the roles of cellular and viral proteins and miRNAs in this process.

Successful applicants are highly motivated, with experience and knowledge in virology, molecular biology, epigenetics, miRNA biology, functional genomics and/or cancer biology preferred. Training in bioinformatics is a plus. This position requires excellent communication skills, including good spoken and written English. We offer a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and collaborative environment to support your career development.

Candidates with good scientific accomplishments are encouraged to apply.
Your application should contain a short cover letter (0.5-1 page, stating your
area of interest and relevant experience), a CV, and contact information for three referees.
