Postdoctoral Position in RNA bioinformatics, Tollervey lab: Wellcome Centre for Cell Biology (WCB), Edinburgh, Scotland

Posted on November 15,

The Tollervey lab is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to help develop and apply bioinformatics approaches to important problems in RNAs biology. We seek to understand the nuclear pathways that synthesize and process newly transcribed RNAs, the assembly of RNA-protein complexes and the surveillance activities that monitor their fidelity. To achieve these goals, we have developed a range of high-throughput techniques for mapping RNA-protein and RNA-RNA interactions. We are applying these to understand how RNA interactions are remodeled during stress responses and in models for human infection and disease.

Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent degree, with a proven track record in research. Experience in the analysis of high-throughput sequence data and/or RNA biology would be highly desirable.

Closing date: Dec. 10, 2021

Starting date flexible.
