Postdoctoral Position in Pittsburgh

Posted on February 17,

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Nara Lee at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The Lee lab studies how Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) utilizes noncoding RNAs to its benefit. Another area of study deals with the RNA-protein and RNA-RNA interactions of the Influenza virus RNA genome in preparation of packaging into virions.

Available projects focus on deciphering the molecular mechanisms of EBV noncoding RNAs called EBERs and how RNA modifications affect their functions. Applicants are expected to have profound training in molecular biology, particularly RNA-related methodologies. Previous experience with next-generation sequencing and computational analyses is desirable.

To apply for this position, please email a brief statement of interest, CV, and contact information of three referees to [email protected].
