Postdoctoral Fellow Positions at NCI/NIH

Posted on December 15,

Funded postdoctoral fellow positions are available in Dr. Colin Wu’s lab within the RNA Biology Laboratory at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Frederick, MD at the National Institute of Health (NIH). The major focus of the laboratory is to investigate the molecular mechanisms of translational regulation and non-canonical functions of the ribosome in mammalian systems.

Multiple projects are available: (1) developing and applying high-throughput sequencing approaches to characterize in vivo dynamics of the ribosome and RNA-binding proteins; (2) exploring non-canonical functions of the ribosome in signal transduction; (3) characterizing local translation-coupled RNA decay and protein quality control. The positions offer rigorous training opportunities in multiple disciplines to build a new high impact research program. Visit our website for more information:

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Students who just received or expect to receive their degree are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have research experience in RNA biology, cell biology, molecular biology, or bioinformatics. Experience in working with animal models is a plus. Applicants should send a cover letter, CV including research interests, bibliography, and contact information of three references to Colin Wu: [email protected]
