Postdoctoral candidate to apply for a Marie Curie EU Fellowship at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, SpainMay 25, 2023 The research group Human Host defense Ribonucleases headed by Prof. Ester Boix at the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, is looking for a postdoctoral candidate to apply for a Marie Curie EU call for a Postdoctoral Fellowship for 2 years. Candidates should have a PhD in Biochemistry or a related field and experience in any of the following areas: Enzymology, Structural Biology, Protein Engineering, RNA Biology and/or Molecular Biology. The research group is working on the structural determinants of host defense RNases for novel anti-infective therapies. The project includes the following methodological approaches: analysis of specific cleavage of ncRNAs in cell models, solving of 3D structures by X-ray crystallography and design of nanoparticles. The laboratory is located at UAB Campus, at 10 min distance to ALBA cell synchrotron.
