Post-Doctoral Positions studying RNA-RBP interactions in cancer.

Posted on March 16,

Multiple Post-Doctoral positions are available in the well-funded, dynamic, young laboratory of Dr. Wayne Miles at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center and Center for RNA Biology. The OSU Center for RNA Biology is one of the largest and most scientifically diverse in the US, providing excellent RNA training and research experiences. The Miles lab is an active member of the RNA community and is currently looking for two enthusiastic, hard-working, and independent candidates to join our great team.

The first position in RNA-RBP cancer biology requires candidates to develop quantitative projects to understand how cancer cells modulate their transcriptome and proteome and the role of the post-transcriptional regulatory network in controlling these changes. We are looking for people with Ribosome Profiling, RNA-seq, RBP-biology, eCLIP, or AMT-profiling skills and a passion of RNA research to join our team.

The second position in Bioinformatics requires candidates to develop computational projects focused on RNA editing and RNA structure changes in tumors. We are looking for someone with experience in cancer genome biology and computational biology.

Education/Experience

Ph.D. degree in RNA biology, cancer biology, cell biology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or biochemistry is required. Molecular and cellular techniques are needed. Candidates need extensive experiences in the following areas: RNA biology, cancer research, RBP function, RNA-protein capture technologies, tissue culture, and CRISPR screening. Ideal candidates should have a good publication record.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae with a publication list and the name and email contact information of three references to [email protected]. Please indicate postdoc application in the title of the email.
