Post-Bac Research Position2021 January 6,A one-year Post-Bac research position is available in the Hoskins lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Applicants should hold a BS degree in the life or physical sciences and have undergraduate research experience in molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, and/or nucleic acid biochemistry. The position will potentially involve research in several areas including high-throughput assays of pre-mRNA splicing, studies of pre-mRNA splicing inhibition by drugs, genetic engineering of laboratory yeast strains, and/or long-read RNA sequencing. Applicants should have a team mindset and be eager to become part of a diverse, supportive, and intellectually challenging lab environment. In addition to increasing laboratory skill sets, the successful post-bac applicant will be open to training in scientific communication, teaching, and outreach.
