The research group “Human Host defense Ribonucleases” headed by Prof. Ester Boix at the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, is looking for a postdoctoral candidate to apply for a Marie Curie EU call for a Postdoctoral Fellowship for 2 years on “Extracellular RNases and non-coding RNA in Infection”.

Candidates should have a PhD in Biochemistry or a related field and experience in any of the following areas: Structural Biology, Molecular Biology and/or Cell Biology.

The research group is working on the structural determinants of host defense RNases for novel anti-infective therapies. The project includes the following methodological approaches: analysis of specific cleavage of non-coding RNAs in infection cell models, identification of signaling eRNAs and structural analysis of 3D protein-nucleic acid complexes. The laboratory is located at the UAB Campus, at 10 min distance to ALBA cell synchrotron.

Interested applicants please send your CV and 2 reference contacts before end-July to Ester Boix ([email protected])
