Two positions in Chemical Biology

Postdoctoral Researcher

The Krauss lab is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with experience in nucleic acids, ideally RNA and in vitro selection and mRNA display. The position is open immediately, but other start dates through 2019 will be considered. Please send CV and/or research summary and contact information for three references to kraussi@nullbrandeis.edu, with the word “application” in the subject line.

The Krauss lab does research in chemically modified libraries for in vitro selection. This researcher will take part in projects involving in mRNA display selections of peptides that are post-translationally modified with carbohydrates, to develop selective glycopeptide binders of lectins, mimics of glycosaminoglycans, and HIV vaccine candidates (see http://dx.doi.org/10.1021/ja411212q and http://dx.doi.org/10.1021/ja500678v,  for lead references).

Technician

The Krauss lab seeks a technician with basic molecular biology skills, ideally experience with nucleic acids/RNA and protein expression. This person will be responsible for preparation of proteins and RNAs used in in vitro translation experiments. The position is open immediately, but other start dates through 2019 will be considered. Please send CV and/or research summary and contact information for three references to kraussi@nullbrandeis.edu, with the word “application” in the subject line.
