A postdoc position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Elizabeth Tran in the Department of Biochemistry at Purdue University to explore connections between RNA helicases and specific cancers that have been historically resistant to chemotherapies. Interested applicants should have a Ph.D. in a related life science field with experience in human tissue culture, immunohistochemistry, and basic molecular biology techniques. Mouse handling is a plus but not required.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work in a highly multidisciplinary laboratory and learn a diverse array of techniques from classic biochemistry to bioinformatics to cancer biology while working with a collaborative team of colleagues. The initial appointment is for one year with a minimum starting salary of $47,500 and benefits. Longer term funding is available for a minimum of two additional years with yearly raises commensurate with performance.
