A 30 months postdoc position is available at Vinther Lab, Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen. The position will be available as of 1 August 2019.
The project is focused on the analysis of the consequences of oxidative signaling and damage on the transcriptome. The postdoc will be responsible for performing sequencing based experiments to map and analyse oxidation of specific RNA positions using cell culture model systems and sequencing based mutational profiling.
The Vinther Lab has extensive experimental and computational knowhow related to implementation of sequencing based methods and the analysis of the data. We maintain an informal, collaborative and productive working environment at the interface of experimental RNA biology and Bioinformatics. Recent publications by the Vinther Lab: PMID 29126318 26220183, 25805860, 24569351.
I am looking for highly motivated individuals with a PhD degree. Candidates with some experience with massive parallel sequencing based experiments, Iron Biology, Reactive Oxygen Species or RNA Biology/Biochemistry will be preferred.
For consideration, applicants must:
- Have a PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, medicine or a similar field
- Have published in international peer-reviewed journals
The working language is English, thus excellent English speaking, reading and writing skills are required.
