FL92/93 Inc. is a highly dynamic, entrepreneurial, and innovation-driven organization seeking to hire an exceptional RNA principal scientist to join our development team. FL92/93 is seeking a scientist with a strong background in nucleic acid manipulation and delivery strategies to join our expanding team as a part of our development group. The position requires broad technical experience that spans molecular biology, synthetic biology, and biophysics, with a strong emphasis on critical thinking, multitasking, and the ability to learn new techniques. The successful candidate will help lead and support multidisciplinary project teams focused on the engineering and development of new therapeutic modalities, including nucleic acids, peptides, proteins, cells, and various conjugate molecules. The candidate will focus on all aspects of development spanning conceptualization, experimentation, data analysis, presentation, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Nucleic acid manipulation, modification, and analytic approaches
• Viral and non-viral nucleic acid formulation and delivery
• Quantitative analysis of biological molecules
• Critical data analysis, attention to detail, and troubleshooting abilities
• Written and oral presentation of results
• Manage and oversee CROs, providing technical expertise and direction on production and characterization activities
• Manage research associates and scientists
• Generate and support intellectual property generation for core projects
• Mentor and train research associates as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering or related discipline and 5+ years of industry experience
• Deep knowledge and understanding of RNA biology. Proficient in experimental design, assay execution, troubleshooting, data analysis, and data interpretation
• strong expertise in RNA biochemistry and RNA structural biology
• strong experience in ASO design
• Skilled in assay development and optimization of nucleic acid production, purification and biophysical characterization
• Expertise in NGS library preparation, RNA seq and analysis of RNA binding protein interactions preferred
• Execution focused, team oriented, and highly motivated
• Experience with the following techniques is highly preferred: RT-qPCR, RNA-seq, cloning, cell culture, immunohistochemistry, ELISA, ChIP, EMSA, FISH, Northern and Western blotting
