We are seeking abstracts describing a diverse array of creative approaches, effective strategies, and anticipated (or known) impacts of such programs on participants.<\/p>\n<p><em>Presentations describing RNA research findings that arose as outcomes of education-focused efforts are welcome, although the educational context of the work should be the primary focus.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Examples of possible topics include (but are not limited to):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The structure, outcome, and impact of RNA-centered <u>c<\/u>ourse-based <u>u<\/u>ndergraduate <u>r<\/u>esearch <u>e<\/u>xperiences (CUREs)<\/li>\n<li>The development or use of RNA research tools or infrastructure that are exceptionally well-suited for educational settings<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring and\/or professional development programs for undergraduate trainees in RNA research<\/li>\n<li>Outreach efforts to promote broad participation in RNA research and\/or education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Who should submit an abstract?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Anyone interested in showcasing their educational efforts, engaging in greater discussion, or gaining thoughtful feedback on their education-based activities &#8211; including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Faculty and staff from research-intensive universities and Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUIs), <u>both inside and outside the USA<\/u><\/li>\n<li>Education program coordinators at biotech companies or research institutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>**Please select \u201cTraining Future Scientists through RNA Research\u201d as your presentation topic when submitting your abstract through the RNA 2025 abstract submission portal.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Abstracts not selected for oral presentation will be slotted for a poster presentation<\/li>\n<li>Abstracts can also be submitted directly for poster presentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Why should I attend this new session?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Spark new ideas to complement your own initiatives in training and engaging future RNA scientists<\/li>\n<li>Gain insights into what is possible through undergraduate-powered research<\/li>\n<li>Expand your awareness of new tools and infrastructure that could be used to augment and deepen RNA education and research<\/li>\n<li>Identify possible collaborators to enhance your Broader Impacts for future grant proposals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>How is this session distinct from the pre-meeting workshop \u201cBridging the Gap in RNA Education\u201d?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We are thrilled to offer TWO education-related events at RNA 2025.
