{"id":7243,"date":"2025-01-22T17:45:07","date_gmt":"2025-01-23T00:45:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rnasociety.org\/conferences\/?page_id=7243"},"modified":"2025-03-14T07:49:26","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T13:49:26","slug":"rna-society-research-presentation-fellowship-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.rnasociety.org\/conferences\/rna-2025\/rna-society-research-presentation-fellowship-program\/","title":{"rendered":"RNA Society Research Presentation Fellowship Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"margin-top: 20px;\">RNA Society<br \/>\nResearch Presentation Fellowship Program<\/h1>\n<p>The RNA Society <strong><b>Research Presentation Fellowship Program<\/b><\/strong> aims to increase inclusion and participation at our annual meeting by providing a $1,000 USD credit for hotel accommodations at our meeting site (the Town &amp; Country Resort and Convention Center) during the duration of the meeting. Fellowships will be prioritized and awarded to current RNA Society members who would otherwise be unable to attend <strong><b>RNA 2025<\/b><\/strong> due to financial considerations.<\/p>\n<p>RNA Society <strong><b>Research Presentation Fellowships<\/b><\/strong> are available to current RNA Society members presenting either an oral or poster presentation at <strong><b>RNA 2025<\/b><\/strong> (as first or senior author). To renew your RNA Society membership or to become a first-time member, visit the RNA Society membership site\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rnasociety.org\/membership-benefits\"><strong><b>here<\/b><\/strong><\/a>). Applications for Fellowships will be assessed based on career stage, financial need and expected total meeting costs; the Fellowship Selection Committee may prioritize awards according to geographical location to offset travel-associated expenses and\/or to encourage participation of underrepresented scientists. Please note that need exceed funds for this program and submission of an application does not guarantee funding. Only one Fellowship will be awarded per research group\/lab and applicants who received support through this program in the previous 3 years are not eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Applications require:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A brief Statement of Benefit (250 words or less) describing your career stage and how attending the 2025 RNA Society Annual Meeting will benefit your training and\/or career goals.<\/li>\n<li>Your scientific abstract for oral or poster presentation (indicating applicant as first or senior author). Note, abstracts submitted for consideration are not entered into the conference registration portal \u2013 you will be required to submit your abstract at the time of meeting registration to be included in the meeting program.<\/li>\n<li>Letter of Recommendation from your current research advisor (for Undergraduate, Graduate Student or Post-doctoral Fellows) addressing the scientific merit of the applicant\u2019s research and justification for financial assistance to attend <strong><b>RNA 2025<\/b><\/strong> (letter must be 1 page or less, on institution letterhead and include the advisor\u2019s signature).<\/li>\n<li>Abbreviated <em><i>Curriculum Vitae<\/i><\/em> of the applicant (maximum 2 pages). <u>Please include your RNA Society membership number (current in 2025) in this document.<\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications for the second round of RNA Society\u00a0<strong>Research Presentation Fellowships<\/strong>\u00a0must be submitted by\u00a0<strong>March 24<\/strong><strong>th<\/strong><strong>, 2025<\/strong>\u00a0in order to be evaluated and be notified of your selection prior to the\u00a0<strong>RNA 2025<\/strong>\u00a0poster abstract submission deadline of March 31st, 2025.\u00a0<u>Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail by March 27<\/u><u>th<\/u><u>, 2025<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>Upon notification, RNA Society Research Fellowship winners will be provided a $1,000 USD credit for hotel accommodations at our meeting site (the Town and Country Resort &amp; Convention Center) during the duration of the meeting. Fellowship winners will be required to make reservations at the Town and Country and secure their room. Reservations should be made as soon as possible and the $1,000 USD credit will be applied at check-out.\u00a0<strong>Applicants are\u00a0asked to wait for the notification of award decisions before completing their RNA 2025 registration and submitting their poster abstract before the deadline of March 31st.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/conferences\/rna-2025\/rna-society-research-presentation-fellowship-program-application\/\"><strong><b>APPLY HERE<\/b><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Note that you will not receive a confirming email when the application is submitted. A screen message \u201cThank you for your application.
