Accommodations<\/h1>\n

Room blocks are available for RNA 2020 at a few downtown Vancouver hotels and in University of British Columbia (UBC) residence halls. We recommend searching internet sources for alternatives to this list. Consider looking beyond the city centre for lower rates and taking the SkyTrain (Expo Line and Canada Line) or SeaBus to Waterfront Station, located adjacent to Vancouver Convention Centre.<\/p>\n

UBC dorm reservations<\/strong> should be selected during conference registration and the additional cost will be included in your total registration payment. Questions about UBC dorm lodging can be directed to rna2020@null<\/span>rnasociety.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hotel reservations<\/strong>\u00a0should be made directly with the hotel, following the procedures described below.\u00a0You must associate your reservation with RNA 2020 at the time of booking to receive the RNA rate<\/em>.\u00a0<\/strong>The number of rooms at each hotel is limited, so a hotel may become full or the prices could increase before the published cutoff date. University of British Columbia (UBC) Campus Housing
\n<\/strong>University of British Columbia is located approximately 12 km \/ 7.5 miles from the Vancouver Convention Centre. An RNA shuttle bus from UBC to VCC is included in the package rates. Buses will depart UBC on Wednesday through Saturday mornings at 8:00 a.m. Return service will be provided on Tuesday after the opening session; on Wednesday and Friday after dinner and again after poster sessions; on Thursday after the lunch\/poster session; and on Saturday after dinner and again after the dance. The precise time schedule will be determined in April after the conference program is finalized.<\/p>\n

Rooms are offered as a 5-night package from Tuesday, May 26 to Sunday, May 31, 2020. Early arrival on Monday, May 25 and\/or late departure on Monday, June 1 can be added to the package. Book and pay for UBC campus housing as part of the RNA 2020 meeting registration process.<\/p>\n

There are two building choices:\u00a0Walter Gage Towers and Place Vanier.\u00a0All rooms in both buildings are single-occupancy with one twin-size bed<\/u>. Attendees bringing non-participating guests can reserve multiple rooms, and couples can request rooms beside each other or in the same suite.<\/p>\n

Walter Gage Towers<\/strong> – suites with 6 bedrooms sharing a bathroom, lounge and kitchen; WiFi available in suites
\n5-night package total cost: $460 USD<\/strong><\/p>\n

Place Vanier<\/strong> – rooms located on a corridor with a large communal bathroom on each floor; WiFi available in common areas but not bedrooms; Ethernet can be activated in room for a one-time fee of $10 + tax, must bring your own cable
\n5-night package total cost: $385 USD<\/strong><\/p>\n

Package rates include 5 nights with breakfast, bed linens and towels, shuttle to VCC, taxes and booking fee.\u00a0Should you choose to stay fewer than 5 nights, your rate will not be reduced for the unused nights.<\/p>\n

Extra Nights:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>You may add Monday, May 25 and\/or Sunday, May 31 to the package. These extra nights do not include breakfast or the shuttle bus. Municipal transportation is available from UBC.<\/p>\n

Walter Gage Towers:<\/strong>\u00a0$65 USD per night<\/p>\n

Place Vanier:<\/strong>\u00a0$50 USD per night<\/p>\n

Reservation deadline is April 1 however the room block may fill prior to the reservation deadline. Your room will be held while your payment is in process but is not actually confirmed until payment is received. If the room block fills and your payment has not been received, you will be contacted with a reminder to make payment or release the room.<\/p>\n
