RNA 2017 Satellite meetings<\/h1>\n

Individuals attending RNA2017 may also be interested in attending these satellite meetings, sponsored by the RNA Society, to be held before or after the RNA meeting, in or near Prague.<\/p>\n

Microsymposium on Small RNA Biology
\n<\/strong>May 26th<\/sup> \u2013 28th<\/sup>, 2017\u00a0\u00a0 Vienna, Austria
\nThis Microsymposium is a three-day international conference to discuss their latest findings in the exciting field of small RNAs. The Microsymposium is entirely financed by scientific societies, leading journals, biotech companies, the city of Vienna, and the research institutions IMBA, IMP, and GMI. These generous contributions make the Microsymposium a registration-free meeting for all its participants.<\/p>\n

The conference includes a PhD Student Workshop. From the submitted abstracts, 8-10 students will be selected as speakers. Travel and accommodation for these students will be covered.<\/p>\n

Hallmarks of Cancer: Focus on RNA<\/strong>
\nMay 28-30\u00a0\u00a0 V\u00edde\u0148sk\u00e1 1083,142 20 Prague 4, Czech Republic<\/p>\n

Accumulating evidence supports the importance of RNA biology in the hallmarks of cancer. Post-transcriptional steps of gene expression (pre-mRNA splicing, polyadenylation, stability, translation, localization and modifications) as well as the functions of non-coding RNAs are increasingly diverse. The internationally renowned experts invited to this symposium will present the recent advances in our understanding of RNA biology in cancer. This will be complemented by at least 10 selected talks, as well as poster presentations.<\/p>\n

The symposium is intended to bring together RNA and cancer biologists. It is expected that the small size of the attendance (max. 150) will foster stimulating discussions that will lead to innovative collaborations. Abstracts are welcome on all scientific topics related to the symposium and must be submitted electronically by March 20, 2017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Registration fees\u00a0: 150 Euros; Payment, by credit card only, due in full at the time of registration, by March 20, 2017.<\/p>\n

Nucleic Acids and Immunity<\/strong>
\nJune 4th<\/sup> \u2013 7th<\/sup>, 2017\u00a0\u00a0 Brno, Czech Republic<\/p>\n

The second conference on Nucleic Acids and Immunity<\/em>, will be held in Brno directly after the RNA Society conference. The emphasis is on RNA modification, as the epitranscriptome <\/em>is a new emerging field of research. The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers in the fields of immunology, innate immune nucleic acid sensing and enzymatic modification of nucleic acids. Short talks will be chosen from abstracts.<\/p>\n

As this is a satellite meeting to RNA2017 in Prague there is a reduction on registration for this conference for those who attend the RNA Society conference (\u20ac220\/ academic, \u20ac150\/ students). Free transportation will be provided from Prague to Brno on the 4th<\/sup>, returning on the afternoon of the 7th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n
