RNA Society Meeting 2014<\/h1>\n

The organizers of the nineteenth annual meeting of the RNA Society are delighted to announce that the meeting will be held June 3rd to June 8th in beautiful and historic Quebec City, the capital of the Province of Quebec. Quebec City, located along the banks of the Saint Lawrence River, is one of the oldest European settlements in North America. The city is served by the Jean-Lesage International Airport, which offers convenient connecting flights to several large transportation hubs. The Centre des Congr\u00e8s de Qu\u00e9bec will serve as the meeting site. The Centre is located in the heart of the city, easily accessed by public transportation.<\/p>\n

The organizers have been hard at work behind the scenes putting together an exciting program that covers new discoveries in a wide variety of traditional and emerging areas in the RNA community. The meeting will feature three keynote lectures presented by leading scientists at the top of their respective fields: Robert Schneider, Ph.D. from NYU, Phillip Zamore, Ph.D. from UMass Medical School, and Anne Ephrussi, Ph.D. from the EMBL, Heidelberg. Chairs have been selected for sixteen tentative sessions and three workshops in the following subject areas:<\/p>\n

Chairs will select talks from abstracts submitted by conference attendees. We strongly encourage submissions for talks by students and post-docs. A program of networking opportunities and social activities is pending, and will include a Mentor-Mentee lunch and a Junior Scientist get-together.<\/p>\n

We also invite interested scientists to consider attending two satellite meetings that will be held just before and just after this meeting. Artwork<\/b>:\u00a0The organizers of RNA Society meeting would like to invite participants to submit artwork in consideration for the cover of the book of abstracts. Biological images and artistic renditions will be considered. Submitted images (in pdf, png, tiff or jpg) must be accompanied by a short descriptive. Please submit your image and text to benoit.chabot@null<\/span>usherbrooke.ca<\/a><\/p>\n

It has been nine long years since the RNA Society held its annual meeting in Canada. We look forward to a rewarding, exciting conference in a new venue, and hope you will join us in making this conference the best RNA-themed conference in the world.<\/p>\n
