The 2021 Nominating Committee of the RNA Society is identifying candidates for election to open leadership positions effective January 2022. Open positions include three seats on the Board of Directors of the RNA Society. These positions are two-year terms spanning 2022-2023. Roles & Responsibilities for the position of Director are included below and can also be found on the RNA Society website at www.rnasociety.org/about/rna-society-organization-and-structure/.
Candidates must be current, Full members of the RNA Society. Any eligible RNA Society member interested in nominating themselves for one of these positions is encouraged to send their name and a brief description of interest and/or qualification for the position to RNA Society Secretary, Brenda Peculis, at [email protected] by February 14th, 2021. Additionally, if you would like to nominate a colleague to serve, please confirm with that individual that he/she is willing to serve and provide a brief description of their qualifications!

Roles & Responsibilities - RNA Society Director
- Develops and contributes to long range strategic planning for the Society.
- Attends RNA Society Annual Meeting and all business meetings that take place during the conference (including the Board of Directors meeting and Meetings Committee meeting).
- Responds to e-mails from the President and CEO in a timely manner so as to resolve Society issues.
- Serves on the Awards Committee.
- May serve on the Finance Committee.
