TREnD – Toronto RNA Enthusiast Day – August 2, 2017 – Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Toronto RNA Enthusiast’s Day (TREnD) 2017 is a trainee-organized and trainee-focused day-long conference to be held this August 2nd at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, ON. This year, we are excited to have recruited distinguished RNA biologist Dr. Phillip D. Zamore from the University of Massachusetts Medical School as our keynote speaker. The symposium seeks to bring together RNA researchers across a diverse range of research backgrounds, facilitating scientific interaction and the exchange of exciting ideas in the RNA field. The 2016 edition of TREnD was attended by over 170 RNA researchers, from principal investigators to undergraduate students, across Ontario, Quebec, and New York State, and featured 12 trainee oral presentations, 60 poster presentations, and a keynote address. We expect to replicate the success of the first meeting with TREnD 2017 and once again provide trainees with an opportunity to showcase their work via talks and posters to experts and peers. You can find more details at our website.
