EMBO Conference on Eukaryotic RNA Turnover: From Structural Insights to Diseases to be held a IGBMC (Illkirch/Strasbourg, France) from April 21 to April 24, 2013. (Additional information at: http://events.embo.org/13-rna-turnover/).
Much progress has been made over the past decade in identifying molecular mechanisms responsible for RNA decay, and how those contribute to the regulation of gene expression and cellular surveillance. A EMBO Conference on Eukaryotic RNA Turnover: « From Structural Insights to Diseases » will be held at IGBMC (Illkirch/Strasbourg, France) from April 21 to April 24, 2013. This meeting will report the latest developments in the field including basic mechanisms of RNA degradation, the diversity of mechanisms used by metazoan cells, the regulation of mRNA turnover by AU-rich elements and other factors, the similarities and differences between the various RNA decay pathways, RNA surveillance processes and the recent implication of RNA turnover in diseases. We look forward to see you there.
