Dear RNA Society members.
It is our pleasure to announce that registration is open for the 9th Alternative Splicing-Special Interest Meeting (AS-SIG 2012) to be held in Long Beach, CA on July 13-14 2012. AS-SIG 2012 is scheduled immediately before the ISMB 2012 conference that will take place at the same location.
This year’s topic focuses on “Integrative RNA Analysis and Disease”. The meeting will bring together world experts in RNA processing, non-coding RNAs, and computation. We aim to bridge the gap between different research fields to generate new ideas for deciphering the regulation of RNA processing and its role in human disease. We welcome and encourage abstracts in this or other areas of gene regulation/splicing and more general RNA-biology.
The Call for Abstracts is now open at http://www.alternative-splicing.org/as-sig-12/ and the preliminary deadline is May 18. Registration and accommodation guidelines are available through the ISMB website: http://www.iscb.org/ismb2012-registration.
Our list of invited speakers includes: Tom Cooper, Xiang-Dong Fu, Shalini Oberdoerffer, Michael Rosenfeld, Jeremy Sanford, Zefeng Wang, Kevin Weeks, and Crystal Zhao.
We do hope to see you in Long Beach!
Best wishes,
The AS-SIG Program Committee
