
Dear RNA Society member,
On behalf of the RNA scientists in Sherbrooke, it is my pleasure to announce that registration is now open for the 13th RiboClub Meeting to be held in Orford (in the vicinity of Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada) on September 24th – 26th. This year the meeting is done in partnership with the UMass Medical School. Registration before July 3rd can be completed at:

The program includes keynote lectures by Larry Gold and Wade Winkler, poster sessions and 17 invited speakers on plenary sessions covering the following topics: RNA complexes, RNA splicing, processing and export, non-coding RNA, RNA degradation, translation, RNA imprinting. The flavor of the year is “New frontiers of RNA biology, diagnostics and therapeutics”. Additional talks will be selected from submitted abstracts. The program also includes an after-dinner presentation by Joe Gall entitled “Revisiting the lampbrush chromosomes”.
The RiboClub Society in collaboration with the RNA Society has set aside funds for fellowships to support the travel of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The application deadline for all travel fellowships is June 1st, 2012. Requests will be reviewed by members of the RiboClub, and decisions will be communicated no later than June 15th, 2012. Applicants can simply send a short email message at Riboclub@riboclub.org along with their scientific abstract.
